i got lazy and it has been a while since my last posting... it has also been a while since i listen to the great music of Smashing Pumpkins....

Nirvana may be the best band in the decade.. but its Smashing Pumpkins for me! sad that they been disband but the sound of the music will never disappear from my mind...

Smashing Pumpkins a great rock band n it accompanied me thru my years of growing up... from an angry teenager to an even angrier adult! they too grew with me...learning of them only from the Mellon Collie album is one of my greatest regrets...

The songs written are simply mind blowing and u can relate to them ( i do at least) ... as a tribute to my chicken soup for my soul... below's a list of great songs i personally think that its a MUST listen from each individual album... as i only know of them from their 3rd album... i will start from there...


MELLON COLLIE & THE INFINATE SADNESS (2 CDs set)

just from the title n u will know how depressing it will get... listening to the album will surely feel u both with SADNESS n ANGST!! guess its a teens thing...

1979... look at the year and u will know its a teens anthem... the life of slacker teens hanging the streets n wasting their lives... knowing of their social responsiblity but they dun care... roaming aimless till old n soon be forgotten by the world...

ADORE

losing a drummer to drugs (the band sack him for abusing)... the band turn to drum machines... losing the human touch n making it sound rather cold... indeed this album was not well recieved..... but of course there is still a must listen... PERFECT

who says rock band dun have "love songs/ ballads" HAH!! this is one! its about a break up... but at least we are still friends... at least there are still the memories...

i thought the song is rather inspiring... hahahah... in a sense that it tells that nothing is perfect in life n we have to live thru it n learn from mistake to make it perfect...

MACHINA: the machines of god

the last album before the BIG breakup.... (Sob sob) they got their drummer back and gather their act ... together for the last time...

this album is HARDCORE n very RAW... back to basics n very industrial sounding.... but the funny thing is... they managed to put another "love ballad" in!! WOW!! n its my fav song...

its a song that brings tears to the eyes... (well to me at least) THIS TIME gets my vote for best "love song" of the century!!

listen to this if u r in a rocky relationship or has just broken up... dun even noe how to describe this song... go listen it urself.. the lyrics is classic...
